The Blue Jeans frog is a common amphibian in Costa Rica that can get 1 inch, are diurnal and toxic. It can get many different colors but the most common one are red with some blue spots in order to looks dangerous and keep predator away.
Their diet is based in ants and mites. The reproduction is peculiar because the male attract the female with his nice sing. The female deposit a few eggs (2 to 9) the male take care of the eggs first in order to keep them humid until the female comes to take them to a bromelia where they gonna stay for some days. Every morning the mom will bring infertile eggs to the tadpoles to feed them.

Su dieta se basa en hormigas y ácaros. La reproducción es peculiar porque el macho atrae a la hembra con su buen canto. La hembra deposita unos pocos huevos (2 a 9); el macho cuida los huevos primero para mantenerlos húmedos hasta que la hembra los lleve a una bromelia donde se quedarán algunos días. Cada mañana, la mamá traerá huevos infértiles a los renacuajos para alimentarlos.
